DenTrust was founded by a group of like-minded individuals who wanted to provide affordable dental protection to patients undergoing medical procedures. Their vision led to the creation of a revolutionary product that covers dental injuries related to endoscopy or surgery while under anesthesia. This innovative solution was created when Dr. Samir Kulkarni, a board-certified anesthesiologist in private practice for more than 25 years at Baptist Health South Florida and a Clinical Voluntary Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine, realized that patients had no recourse, other than to claim against their providers whenever there was a peri-operative dental injury.

After thorough research by Dr. Samir Kulkarni, he consulted with Frank J. Carreras, an insurance executive with expertise in the dental field for over 25 years and CEO of one of the largest dental networks in Florida. In the process of developing the solution, they were joined by Aaron Behar, an attorney with 24 years of experience representing insurance companies nationally and who frequently represents dental clinics and dentists.
